The Indian Caucus of Secaucus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to celebrating and preserving Indian culture in New Jersey. From our home in Secaucus — a few miles from India Square in Jersey City, the largest Little India in the tri-state area — we host some of the most-loved Indian festivals in North Jersey.
Whether you grew up with these traditions or you’re discovering them for the first time, our events are built for everyone: live classical and Bollywood performances, Garba and Dandiya circles, a glowing Diwali diya display, a rangoli competition, kids’ activities, a community marketplace, and food from every corner of India.

Diwali in North Jersey — our annual Diwali Mela, the Festival of Lights, is the highlight of the fall calendar.

The Indian Caucus of Secaucus hosts its festivals at Buchmuller Park (150 Plaza Center) and the Secaucus Recreation Center (1200 Koelle Blvd) — both in Secaucus, NJ 07094, minutes from Jersey City, Hoboken, North Bergen and the wider Hudson County area.
What Indian festivals do you celebrate?+
Our biggest events are the annual Diwali Mela (the Festival of Lights) and Dandiya Dhamaka (Garba and Dandiya during Navratri). We also mark Holi, Raksha Bandhan, Republic Day and Independence Day, and run cultural and community programs through the year.
Do I need to be Indian to attend?+
Not at all — everyone is welcome. Our events are for Indian-American families and for neighbors of every background who want to experience the food, music, dance and colors of Indian culture.
