The Indian Caucus of Secaucus was founded in July 2010 to promote and encourage the Indian Culture. Indian Caucus of Secaucus was formed to preserve, promote, and enhance an understanding of Indian culture, traditions, and its values among our children and other communities. In 2013 the Indian Caucus of Secaucus became a registered IRS 501c3 non-profit organization.
India is a multi-cultural and multi-linguistic society and we recognize the importance as well as the need for preserving one’s own cultural identity, such as speaking their own languages, wearing their own traditional dress, and conducting their own traditional ceremonies for special events such as new year’s, weddings, etc.
It is therefore, our mission to provide a platform to exhibit and showcase India’s unique cultural heritage through cultural events and awareness camps to foster a better relationship between the people of Indian origin and others.
